This is an amazing 40's alligator skin handbag! The leather has some shiny coating. It has a metal frame and the exterior has no major damage or stains or rips. There is a zippered side pocket inside but the zipper does not work. One of the side pockets needs to be re-sewn on one side. It's clean inside and out.
