This pair of cast iron Steeplechase Bookends were made by HUBLEY Mfg. c. 1925 and this model #415 is named "Whipper In". The cast statue bookends are finished on all sides and feature a Steeplechase rider and horse clearing a fence as they head for the finish. Measurements are 5" x 4 3/4", each bookend is mounted on a half-moon shaped base with a felt pad attached. These are in great used condition and do have some normal discoloration due to age.
