Vintage Florenza Brooch - Japanese Noh Devil Mask – Florenza Jewelry

This amazing unsigned Florenza figural brooch from 40s-50s was inspired by the Japanese Noh Theatre “Hiragata Hannya” mask. Noh is a classical dance-drama that has been performed since the 14th century. Unbelievable detail - openwork, etched gold-washed serpentine tree branches feature flowers, leaves, and a bird. Adorned with a resin/vintage plastic detailed demon/devil mask, a center faux pearl, and hues of red, navy blue, and green faux Jade. Large brooch measures approx. 1-7/8” L x 2-1/4” W and fastens with a rollover clasp. Unmarked Florenza pieces were usually part of a set in which another piece, such as the bracelet or necklace, was stamped. Excellent vintage condition with only minor signs of gold-wash wear. Will arrive in a gift box.
