Vintage Pierre Cardin Boutique Furs - Leather & Fur Coat

Pierre Cardin Boutique Antique Fur & Leather Coat This coat is circa late 60s/early 70s and features a wonderful flaring design accented with dark brown leather panels, giving a lovely silhouette. The collar, cuffs and hem are trimmed with a longer-haired fur adding to the opulence and glamour of the coat. The types of fur in this coat have not been definitively identified. It is in wonderful vintage condition, coats like this by such prominent designers of the time rarely survive and it is evident that this coat was lovingly cared for. Upon inspection it is noted that there are areas where the seams appear to have reinforced or repaired (see photos). Pierre Cardin worked for Elsa Schiaparelli and Christian Dior before he founded his own company in 1950, he would become known as the designer with a vision for futuristic living.
