The overcoat on steroids. Contemporary style in a rich, dark blue-gray. Quality tailoring with exceptional comparative value. Crafted in seven-plus pounds of tightly woven, thick Melton wool twill, fulled to a dense, non-lustrous, felted surface. A hard-wearing, wind, dirt and water resistant finish, offering a blanket of protection from the elements for the last several centuries. Six button, double-breasted front to keep wind out and warmth in. Loose-fitting at the waist, yet hangs well due to its weight. For elbow room, the buttoned half-belt spans a center back, inverted pleat, anchored by triangular stitching at the yoke to secure the form at the shoulders. Two functional, flap-covered outside pockets. One interior buttoned pocket. Dark navy buttons emblazoned with the Crowned Eagle coat of arms. Unworn, never issued, reserved in climate control for over 20 years. Vintage, as new. Size L 40, width at shoulder seams 20", at true waist 23", pit to pit 22" (satin-lined, allow 4" to 5" more than your chest size for additional garments).

Hi, it is a so nice place since you are here. Hope you get lots of fun here. I am selling the wigs. Thanks.

Is this also insulated underneath the lining?
briarwoodgrove
@davidmkelly86 Thanks for asking, David … The Greatcoat is intended to be worn over other three season clothing, and is so heavily insulated by the weight of the Melton wool itself that any additional insulation under the lining would be overkill. Peace … Briar

Hi! How long is the coat from the bottom of the collar to the bottom of the coat? And how long is the sleeve from the shoulder to the cuff? Thanks!
briarwoodgrove
@kc_cloth Excellent questions! A moment’s pardon, I’ll have to let you know tomorrow … a Seasonal Event delay …

Length bottom of the collar to hem at back is 39 1/2…mid-back neck seam under collar to the hem, length is 40 3/8”. Collar’s full width 5” at back flipped up to protect neck…folded down in back for lapels, as in photos, collar height 2 1/2”. Length of sleeve shoulder seam to cuff 25”. So cuffs will protect wrists and backs of hands from windchill, even with bent arms, the sleeve length should be several inches longer than your suit jacket. Top shoulder seam to top shoulder seam across back 20”.
