daisymaypost @underonesun hey jes, hope you and your people are doing awesome and staying safe and healthy! just seen this message now.. it's been insane over here.. my husband got coronavirus in the beginning of march before there was even a shutdown.. he's nypd so most likely got it from his job.. he was out of work for two weeks and recovered, but still has no taste or smell after two months.. we were living on different floors of the house because he has such a high risk job..

daisymaypost my parents also both got it and recovered but they are over 70 so i was a nervous wreck especially because there was nothing i was able to do to help.. anyways that's basically what's been going on over here.. nyc was hit so hard. all we heard was sirens 24 hours a day for months.. i might open up shop a little earlier than i planned to.. gotta see.. just wanted to respond, check in, and send my love.. please be safe!! this thing is horrible!! x0x0 kim ♡

underonesun @daisymaypost Oh wow Kim, you have been dealing with SO much! I am grateful everyone recovered. I can’t even imagine being in NY with all of this. Chicago got hit badly , but prepped ahead of time and learned from other major cities. Shutting down conference rooms at hotels here turning them into hospital beds and recovery centers. And wow I didn’t know that lack of taste or smell was part of the process? Is that only unique to your husband or are there other reported cases of that?

underonesun @daisymaypost All is well enough here. Okay as it can be. I unfortunately lost my grandmother last month, and we were not allowed to gather for a funeral - so there feels like a bid of a void and weight here.... Until we are allowed to honor her properly. My grandfather is currently dealing with coronavirus but seems to be on the upswing - so I am grateful for that. The family distance is really starting to weigh on everyone, but it’s what necessary- so we’re all complying!

daisymaypost @underonesun oh jes i am so very sorry to hear about your grandmother.. that is the worst part of all, not being able to give her a proper memorial.. my best friends dad passed from covid and same with her, they are just on hold to give him a well deserved farewell.. as for the loss of taste and smell yes it's one of the main symptoms of covid.. they usually come back after a few weeks but his is taking forever.. alot of other officers in his precinct also have that same symptom from it..
