auraapricot hi i’m not familiar with ankara fabric- by “wax coated” does that mean it’s stiff with wax, like an “oil cloth” type thing? or just a batik method? is it suitable for sewing masks or shirts?

23threads @auraapricot hi dear! this is cotton fabric and has wax on it. It is stiff due to the coated wax but eventually wax will fade off after washing and fabric will become a normal cotton cloth. Yes, it is suitable for making mask, dresses, skirts, top shirt and to many desired project.

auraapricot @23threads how many washes would you say the wax needs to come off? and isn’t that bad for the washing machine? 🤔

23threads on 1st wash, approximately 90% faded off. ( print color will not fade off). On washing is not bad as this is for clothing purposes- Care Instruction: Do not bleach. Machine wash on cold or warm, tumble dry on low heat.
