trishmiles25 @bets18 Hi, Thank you for inquiring with such a good question. I personally believe back when he was designing it meant more about what a person could do with the strap. In this case you can really shorten the strap and it almost becomes a satchel-type handbag. It's pretty large for a crossbody in my opinion. However, this is a beautiful bagif you are interested. It is very soft, supple leather and his designs are always very unique. I hope my novel-ette has helped.
