@liddokeys aw thank you! I worked in tomorrow land! I never had a pass until I worked there I never really went, but then I was able to go for free so I started! Lol but now I'm back to not having a pass lol. But I had some really great memories there so it fun😊

@liddokeys it depends on what you do, you always start you off above minimum wage so its great for a someone who is a student. But it gets hard sometimes because during the peak seasons they require all employees to be available 5 days a week. Unless you've been there for a long time and have special circumstances. But you'll definitely create a lot of memories there

@smaeadriano you just apply online. It takes you through a process. online test then if you pass it, it schedules you for a face interview then if you pass that you're in! It takes a long time though.

@alisonkusumoto there are plenty of designers who have trouble sketching, my school teaches you how to do it, and although you don't have to be an "artist" it helps a lot if you can sketch. Some people however that can not draw, draw better on the computer. Which is good too. But it's inevitable that fashion designers will have to draw our something one way or another.

@felicia_murray thank you! I was going to go to FIDM but I wanted to go somewhere I could get my degree, and FIDM does not offer a bachelors degree. Just an associates. So I went to The art institute. But if I could is go to Parsons, or Otis. Those are very prestigious in our field. Goodluck to you! Take your time and chose wisely at least you have another year😉

@liliana91 ya my bf and I got our pass and we go whenever we can. The day we wore these we just went to dinner at the blue bayou and rode 1 ride. It was awesome. I had them custom made. It's pretty expensive, together it cost me about $75 and that was only because the graphic guy gave me a discount other wise it would've been around $85. But to me they were well worth it!!

@vivalanikkixx that's awful! Been there done that! It took a while for me to find the right man. But I know the feeling of betrayal and honey you're gonna be just fine! The key is never settle for anything less than what you want. No one is perfect and sometimes he makes me want to pull my hair out, but his flaws are overshadowed by his greatness. I could gush on about him but my point is, don't ever feel like this is the best you're going to get, wait for that imperfectly perfect guy because there's 6billion people in the world 1 is bound to be everything you've ever wanted and more. My heart goes out to you dear stay strong 💪❤️

I love your closet💞💕💖 I have been trying endlessly to find legit vendors and I just can't seem to figure out how to do so. I've asked other posters and no one will help. Majority of the time I go ignored. The only time people are really helpful is if you're buying their item😔. I'm trying to learn the ropes. @vikkij24 Hi Tori! Of course, we all learn as we go! To be honest, it's very hard to find a good vendor to buy from because majority of things out there are horrible!! It takes time to find vendors who are 1. Nice (super important to me) 2. Have good quality garments and 3. In the right price point.

@vikkij24 Luckily for me I live near LA where I can shop all the vendors and pay a visit every week if I want. I get to see the physical clothing and negotiate prices. So it does matter where you live. But believe me, it's harder than it looks! 😖

@vikkij24 1st you need to get a sellers permit, which will then give you your very own tax ID #. You can't shop wholesale without it. (Some places you can find that don't require this, but it will get tough eventually trying to find items you like) That you can get by applying with the city you live in. I believe it costs around $30-$50... I own my own clothing business outside of PM so I paid for a lot more authentications.

@vikkij24 If you want to shop vendors without getting a permit there's always aliexress.com which gives you so many options for wholesale. But again it's very hard because some of that stuff is TERRIBLE quality so it's a gamble.

@vikkij24 no Problem!!! It's really a hit and miss with vendors but if you're willing to get a permit and put in the work, you'll find vendors you like. Just shop around even in Nordstroms or Macy's, and you'll see little brands that you can shop too! Ex: Gili, En creme, KUT from the Kloth, STS blue,...the list is ENDLESS. Good luck doll 💕

@shak3ta yes many have started their own business from here. To do that you have a few options.
1. You can buy wholesale from the Poshnark portal. Which means you buy items in bulk and resell them here. It's easy to do you just need to fill out a "form" (nothing long and the app will walk you through it) and boom you can start buying/ selling!

2. What I started with was selling items of my own, and for my friends, and also mixed in items I found great deals on and resold everything here. This is a little tricky because in order to buy things from retail stores, you have to think about the resell value. I only bought items that I could still give a great price to my customers here for. That way, everyone wins!

3. What I do now is went through my city and paid to have a sellers permit. I also went through legal zoom to get my business registered as an LLC (Limited Liability Corporation) I pay taxes on all my items and I'm now a legit owner of a recognized company by the state. This allows me to buy items wholesale from brands you already buy from in stores. (Unless they're exclusive) and I have my own website where I am legally able to sell items in bulk.

@shak3ta I hand pick and purchase all my boutique items from wholesalers and sell some of them here and most of them on my website. :) every option is a gamble and requires you to spend money to make money. But if you network and share items and just be friendly I find that, that can really help you with success.

@shak3ta no I totally get it! That's great, I want to say with all the costs put together it was around....maybe $400? Not including the money for our domain name on our website, the money I pay my models, and the cost of goods/ packaging. There are so many little fees that were added on top of my license and legal paperwork, it's hard to give you a straight cost on everything.

@shak3ta Plus you will have slightly different fees than I will since you want to start your own clothing line. I'll do that eventually as well, but I haven't started on that :/ so I'm not too knowledgeable about how much it's going to cost. But It's never ending, you just have to decide what you want and if you want it, go all in. This past tax season we had to pay $800 in taxes which was tough, but it's all for the end result.

I agree seeing the items in person is the best way so you are knowledgable of what your customers are getting. I think using poshmark correctly as a platform to sell my own clothes and building relationships with the customers and fellow poshers like yourself😊 is a great way to start. Then starting a online boutique people will love is a great next step.

@shak3ta yes that is exactly what I did. I built my poshmark closet and my followers and then just step by step made it here. Which is still a long way from where I want to be!😅 my website does have a blog that I run, but it is so hard to set aside time to do it all. I don't blog as much as I want to. I partnered with my mom since she has a great legal background and we do EVERYTHING by ourselves.

@shak3ta it's easy! Just make sure you take great photos of your items, and leave a clear description. Good lighting and just a plain background are the easiest ways to have a good picture. Also to not be scammed is the same thing, just take good photos from all angles of your items and disclose any and all flaws. Other than that, just keep all your transactions on poshmark don't trade and you'll be fine.

It's always going to be a gamble, I recommend starting off selling items for friends or family, or even go thrifting and find a few good pieces for a great price and resell here.

So key components to a nice shoppable closet is good lighting, minimal background distraction, add the correct brand with a good description, I think it’s important to show your items modeled as opposed to just laid flat and make sure your photos are clear and not blurry or fuzzy.
