Hi, I'm Jennie. My little family is in the process of moving back to the Boston area from Gothenburg, Sweden, where we’ve lived for 10 years, and where my husband comes from. I'm American and grew up in New England and Alaska. We have a young son named Charlie, who makes me very happy (and also drives me completely crazy). As an adult I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, in Berkeley and Emeryville, for about 10 years, and this is where I developed my love of clothes and other beautiful things, despite having a small income. I love esoteric, expensive designers that I really can't afford. Some favorites are Minä Perhonen (Japanese designer Akira Minagawa), Dosa by Christina Kim, Épice / Bess Nielsen, and Free City (Nina Garduno). For kids' clothes, I love Bobo Choses, The Animals Observatory, Caramel Baby & Child (silly name/amazing designs), Misha and Puff (designer Anna Walloch is a MA native), Japanese brands Fith and Denim Dungaree, Cosilana and Engel Natur (German brands using organic wool, cotton and silk), Makié,. Although Sweden has been our base for so long, and I love organic Swedish brands Mini Rodini, Maxomorra, and Isbjörn (PFAS-free outerwear), my favorites tend to be more Danish brands. Soft Gallery, Celavi (great non-toxic kids rain gear), Småfolk, Serendipity (all GOTS-certified organic), Molo. I love Nani Iro fabric, Polka Dot Club bears, Bauspiel toys from Germany, Raduga Grez toys (Russia), Thompson Studio quilts. ...Ah, to be a one-percenter!
