we lost my beautiful girl this week. i am devastated... 12/9/01-3/2/18 💔 meet shad! she is AMAZING! almost 16 - she has survived cancer and a tumor, an ulcer on her eye that we thought would cause her to lose her blue eye but with an incredible vet team, prayers like you wouldn’t believe, and a daily regimen - we saved her eye (!), plus EXTREME anxiety (that we work with each day) and various other issues since i rescued her and her mama almost 10 years ago. this girl is my heartbeat. 💖

chammje Awww Shad is so lucky to have you for a momma! I have four rescues too, two pups and two kitties. My oldest pup is 13 and he was a breeder in a puppy mill for 8 years, so he was in pretty rough shape when I got him, he is spoiled now and doesn't remember any of it. Thank you for rescuing older pets too! They still have so much love left! ❤️

cab1979 thank you @chammje! i love all animals (there's no such thing as an "ugly" animal, whether bred or rescued, but rescued babies, especially the older babies, are my heart... we have a rotten kitty too (ollie) and we lost our beloved boxer two weeks ago (jackson)... sounds like your precious babies are blessed to call you 'mommy'!! ❤

hobbswife @cab1979 Aww I’m so sorry. Our big Joe was an Alaskan Malamute and he had to be put to sleep this last spring. He was full of tumors. His abdominal cavity and was full of them and they were going up into his airway; just everywhere really. But he was the most easy going and sweetest dog I have ever had. I hope your sadness passes soon. 😊🙏🏻

She was in turn so lucky to have you to care for her and give love through her challenges... You know, something tells me she has already met your baby boy while he is in the womb. desirableduds I’m sorry and know there’s nothing more painful. She was gorgeous and you guys were lucky to have each other. No better love! I lost my yellow lab, my life , a rare auto immune disease, erroded the joints in her feet. For years we tried everything researched, spent over 20,000 and I just felt horrible watching her try to walk . I took her around in a red rider wagon and she loved swimming at the beach. She got cancer too and it was time . Nothing worse.. prayers for you and Shad

cab1979 @kagertharya i believe so too... my mamaw passed on my 40th birthday, just three days after our son was born... i believe she made sure that he and i were safe and healthy... i know God has her watching over us, but especially this little bear. she was so excited about him... it’s a very bittersweet thing for me for sure! ❤️ i hope you and your family are well and happy!
