vintage India block print 70s dress, home sewn

someone made this charming scoop neck, Empire waist, raglan set & self ruffled sleeved dress themselves from an India block print spread. The border of the spread makes a nice vertical design detail at center back. This is thicker & more opaque fabric than the gauzy dresses from India sold at the time, but soft & with a good drape. The ground is écru or a deep vanilla with a print of red, blue, yellow, & black outlining. bust to 37,” high elastic waist (where your bra band would be) stretches from 22-30,” hips to 50,” sleeves are 19.5” long, & center back slit is15” deep. The waist elastic is replaced, but the sleeve elastic is stretched out; this does not affect the look of the sleeves.
