@katiekhaos the money I got refunded from posh I just spent at TRR on a pair of fendi & 2 pairs of dior (including stingray pair I’ve been stalking!!)
stingray pair is 36.5 so....not sure if they’ll fit. I can wear 36.5 in dior so I’d not be too concerned except I’ve never had stingray...what if it has zero give?! Then I’m screwed! Im willing to take the chance bc I bought them on eBay & seller got robbed so couldn’t ship & then I haven’t seen a single other pair for sale since (almost 4 years)

@katiekhaos these are my oldest VP and they have different toebox than the more recent years. But look at those profile pics and notice how incredibly low they are from the inside. You cannot see the sides of the shoe at all from the front when they are worn. These are the old louboutin cuts that lengthen the legs... that’s what is weird to me about that other pair. Old markings but not old cut

@tiffcake idk if I would have questioned these though. My eye isn’t drawn to the side cut and I don’t know much ab the difference of old or new roll now and I must say I like the older. But the toe box isn’t that weird shape and interior sole leather looks right. You see way more detail then me bc of your educated eye....but from my simply eye, not know thing these were authentic I’d ask for bottom pics ONLY bc I’ve I’ve never seen this sequin material.

@katiekhaos hehe... these don’t even have Paris on the insoles. That’s how old they are. And the insole is scalloped at the heel. These peeps are a little bit more vulgar?? than new CL peeps. There’s more “peep” than we are used to seeing. Like, CL rarely allows the knuckles to be exposed. Just the nails. Cleavage yes, but very little exposed from edges of toes. Someone with long toes in these would definitely show knuckle which seems rare to me.

Dude the sequins on these are insane. They are layered so stinking perfectly. I’ve never seen sequins laid so methodically. They look like fish scales in person they are so perfect. I almost sold these because they are stiff and awful to wear. I decided against it. They’re too exquisite to resell. I will wear them even if they make me bleed lol

@tiffcake Yup definitely. It also amazes me how people claim that the shoes are authentic, when they clearly are not. I understand some people may not know, but the others that are just trying to scam people

@ctryon that pair on which you tagged me where I had the judgy monacle emoji? That’s a dangerous pair I think. Really high price makes some buyers think they’re authentic and getting a great deal when seller accepts their offer below $500 and to some people
I think they probably would look ok. Those heel taps don’t fit and the stitching is too large but they have tilted photos making it hard to see

@ctryon the outsole is a decent replica but the rest of the quality is off. Then again maybes it’s obvious... they just looked like they were better disguised to me than most of the obvious fakes that get listed 🤷♀️🤦♀️🙅♀️

@tiffcake Yup, that is the scary part. Under the $500 mark. I just went to look for them and didn’t see them. I might have missed them. I also believe that the Made in Italy was too large on that pair? Not 100% authentic as claimed. I always see buyers ask if the shoes are authentic. I don’t think I have seen too many people tell them no

@jennax4 is it this same pair? This style is called Bery Prive and it’s been around for mannnnnnnny years in many different textiles. So there’s lots of variety in the sizing. This particular pair is very old, practically vintage, and it’s not an easy fit for me. It’s stiff so it pinches in the toebox. For this particular pair I’d do best in 37.5 for my size 7 (but I’m 37 or 37.5 in regular VP generally... 37 for more recent years and 37.5 farther back)

@jennax4 okiedokie... I’m US7 and I would most prefer this pair in 37.5 if that helps you gauge fit. But this pair is very stiff in my opinion. It’s satin underneath the pailletes so it doesn’t stretch

@jennax4 that pair of these that’s 37.5? If your feet are narrow and your size 6.5 then I do think that 37.5 may be loose on you BUT you would might be able to use a heel grip and a forefoot halter/pad. I’ll try mine on again and see how how they feel. That price is a steal so it would be worth trying. If you have wide feet I will say that I find these stiff.

@jennax4 what material is your altadama? Did you buy them new or resale? It’s possible someone stretched them before you if they’re resale. I have altadama in that special curly fur (it’s actually quite sad bc I think it’s a product from a fetal animal ☹️) in 38 and it’s definitely looser than this pailletes VP. But these have a heel grip in them.

@jennax4 oh you and I are cut from the same cloth!! I’m good for a bit but it seems like whenever something comes up for a good deal it happens around same time as holy grail pairs and then yes, multiple pairs per
Month. I’ve been pretty good but I have an anemone coming to me the end of this month so... I expect a couple more will suddenly pop into my radar!
