tiffcake @lizexclusives I have dorepi (saw you were asking about fit on another listing). Do you have experience w/ old-cut pigalles? That’s how they fit. I’m US7 & my perfect size would have been 36.5 I think, but mine are 36 (I stretched them). I think in 38.5 they’d be like an 8 or 8.5 maybe bc they get tighter in size ranges above 7

tiffcake @lizexclusives They are narrow so ppl try to size up but then the length is loose & makes it really hard to walk in 120mm heels. So I prefer mine to fit very well in length & adjust toebox to accommodate. In old cut 120mm pigalles I take 36.5 but people w/ narrow feet in my size usually take 36. But that’s bc I personally cannot walk in 120 unless they are very snug. They feel tight when I first put them on but better/secure once I walk

tiffcake @lizexclusives if I could find them in 37 I would pad the insole and use heel grips in attempt to make them more comfortable but I have a feeling they will end up feeling loose anyway & I’d eventually replace w/ 36.5 (but w/ rarer pairs like that one I will try any close size bc it takes me years to find them sometimes—I’m very obsessed with shoes 🤣) Comfort and Louboutin don’t usually go together. You’d think I’d know by now 😆

carriemargarita Hi! You seem to know your stuff when it comes to CLs 😃 I'm hoping to buy my first pair, I'm a designer bag person but am getting into shoes now which is a bad combo 😂 I'm a little worried about sizing though. I'd like to start with a classic black pair like the Bianca. I'm between an 8-8.5 US so I was looking at size 39. There is a pair on TRR that I'm looking at but I am so worried about sizing 😂 Do you think thats the right size to be looking at? Thanks!! 😍

tiffcake @carriemargarita are they patent? Suede? Those two fit totally different from each other and the kid/calf is between them. I’m size 7 and I take Bianca in 37 or 36.5 (bianca tends to slip off my heels a lot so I prefer it to fit VERY snug) I think 39 may work for you if we’re solid 8.5 maybe, but I worry it would be too big for you if you’re on the smaller side of 8.5

tiffcake @carriemargarita I bought bigger sizes in most of my collection at first bc my feet aren’t wide but a little bit wide for CL apparently hehe... but I’ve found that over time I would prefer them more snug and break them in/stretch the toe boxes bc if your feet slide at all, the toebox STILL feels cramped and the shoe doesn’t stay on the foot well so you can’t walk properly anyway. I have some tricks to make them fit better but it’s generally easier to make tight pairs fit better than loose pairs

tiffcake Maybe we can stalk same Bianca’s in same textile here on posh closer to your size range and see what people Say about them? I would fee more confident if I was closer to your size but I know that the shoes tend to be more “off” above size 7 while the pairs grow 7 at emore true to size

carriemargarita @tiffcake ah, ok I'm glad I asked 😂 I'm somewhere between an 8-8.5, so I definitely don't want them too big. I'm looking for black patent mostly to start with and Iike you, I would prefer them a tiny bit too small then too big and slipping off of my feet. I wish I could try them on in person but the closest Saks is almost 2 hours away 🙁

tiffcake @briannefield I. Love. Filo. It’s one of my favorite pairs to wear bc I can rock it all day. I’m US7 and I think they fit TTS. I have some 37.5’s but I prefer all my 37’s after breaking in compared to 37.5. I think I know which colorway you mean. If it’s what I’m thinking, I have the blue/grey version but I think the green is much much better (and harder to find) and it’s actually cobra not python! It’s definitely worth getting if it’s your size

If it’s what I’m thinking, they’re called cobra degrade and there’s the greyish blue I have and a yellowish green that I’m seeking. I have volcano pigalles but I want those custom foxholes where they added the bow with skull beads :)

tiffcake @briannefield you have to make a listing to show photos. My recommendation is that you DONT put a brand name in the listing and you make the prices both $0 so it’s automatically not for sale. Then that way it doesn’t really show up in searches. You can delete the listing when your done if it’s just meant to be temporary or you can keep it up for chitchatting.

tiffcake @icua410 I don’t know to be quite honest. I think the black pair is a replica. It’s not the same pair in the actual photos compared to the covershot. The pink pair also confuses me. Outsole seems ok but silhouette and interior seems bad. In any case I don’t know what style they are bc I can’t even tell if they’re authentic 🤷‍♀️ I wouldn’t buy them myself but I’m not confident in my opinion of them so I wouldn’t say anything.

tiffcake @icua410 definitely not Pigalle. I suspect replicas particularly with the black pair. I’m not confident with suede pair. That black pair sold before so either it was canceled or returned (if you search her closet for CL)

And the relisted sold paid doesn’t have any comments on its original sold listing so I don’t know why it sold and wound up being relisted again—only musing our loud. I’m not 100% confident they’re replicas either so it wouldn’t be right for me not to be honest about it and fair toward her

I know she don’t have the boxes for both of them only dust bags but her other listing for the Casadei blades look authentic though. I like those too but it’s so much. tiffcake @icua410 if I was confident I’d reach out to her through a bundle (comments wouldn’t be public). Ppl are less defensive when they don’t feel like they’re put on blast. Nobody likes receiving bad news and receiving it in a public shaming way definitely feels like an attack. That used to be the only option on posh but now there is a way to chitchat privately. But I can’t point to anything as definitive proof so I’ll give her benefit of doubt and leave her be.

I think I could suffer through with those but I wouldn’t pay that much for boots! tiffcake @trina_webb i don’t have either of those pairs but I do have lots of trouble w/ louboutin slipping off my heels compared to other designers. The only thing that works for me 100% is buying them smaller & they’re definitely more uncomfortable at first. But my best fitting pairs are the tight ones that have molded and stretched in the right places.

tiffcake @trina_webb that being said, I don’t have as much control over that bc I can’t afford retail for this many pairs. Buying resale is definitely a challenge. I use heel grips frequently and sometimes use these other kinds of inserts that keep my feet from sliding or take up the space in front of my toes. I’ll tag you

tiffcake @trina_webb whoops did you mean bandy? I think in my size range (I’m US7) they run TTS or maybe even big. Mine are 37 and I have to be careful. I will probably add a grip—but i bought them resale and don’t know if the previous owner stretched them. I think I can 36.5 honestly. They’d be horrible at first but I bet they’d fit perfectly now! Maybe in bigger ranges they aren’t as TTS.

tiffcake @trina_webb I’m so sorry it took me so long to get back to you!!!! I haven’t been on posh much lately—avoiding the temptation! I’ve had to invest quite a bit $$ into my house so only a couple purchases... I did finally get a pair of grapi (was searching forever) & they definitely run big so I’m on the hunt again for smaller size. I finally found another pair of black jaws IN my size so I can sell the 38.5’s. And today I finally got a pair of metal nodo. But otherwise I’ve been really behaving!

tiffcake @ma091495 I don’t see any red flags for those 😀 I have only 3 pairs of Corneille (1 python 2 ostrich) but I wouldn’t be concerned if I had bought them myself. The way the shoe is made and the silhouette is harder to fake than stamps and the stamps looks can look like that if they’re dirty/worn then cleaned.

tiffcake @ma091495 think of it this way—the outsoles and insoles are the parts that get the most worn out & easiest to replace. I put the least emphasis on those attributes & rather focus on the “soul” of the shoe... the construction, its silhouette, the materials used to make it. Those are all good. I don’t see issues with the outsole or insole either. Good deal :) 😘 rest easy

That was originally what brought my concern, I really appreciate you taking a look and I feel horrible now for the seller, although posh told me based on the photos they believed they were not authentic and so I’ve already sent them to be looked at by their team😣

tiffcake @ma091495 I can’t say for sure but if the different parts of the shoe are constructed using different hides then they can fade/age differently even if initially perfectly matched. Also, if a stiletto gets damaged significantly then when they repair it the cobbler rewraps it with new materials. Sometimes they rewrap both even if only one is damaged bc assymetry Can really draw attention (according to my dentist who had me veneer BOTH front teeth when I broke just one in an accident haha)

tiffcake @ma091495 I think it might be more common in the exotic textiles maybe (like I have a ring lizard pair of VP that is completely different one shoe vs the other) but I’ve REALLY seen it in dyed pairs like suede or fabrics where folks display the shoes unequally (one in front of the other) bc they fade fiercely! When we buy them brand new they’re pretty flawless but resale they are all sortsa weird

tiffcake @ma091495 most of my pairs are resale. I can’t afford this horde if I paid retail for all of them. There’s one particular cleaner that I use, Lincoln E-Z, that is great but it also make the colors different. I wouldn’t use it on patent bc there’s other ways to clean patent. But it takes the metallic out of the insole stamp. And wherever I clean one shoe I clean the other to keep them symmetrical.
