This is an incredible, authentic wedding (bridal) garment made in the Oasis of Siwa in Egypts Western (Sahara) Desert. All sewing, embroidery and beading are done entirely by hand. It is a unique, one of a kind piece. Rayon blend cloth with extensive traditional embroidery and beadwork. Dry clean only as threads may not be colorfast. Please note: This dress is entirely hand embroidered and beaded by local Siwan ladies for their daughters. A dress like this can take 6 months or longer to make. They are never made for tourists. They have been previously worn by a Siwan bride so they will show wear. Beads may be missing or loose. There may be holes or discolorations. There may be stains. There may be hanging or loose threads. This wear is normal and provides verification of the pieces authenticity.
