Vintage 60s 1960s Mod Etra Black Leather Bag Swirled Bakelite Frame and Handles

This black leather bag from Etra, ca. early 1960s, has swirled root-beer and caramel Bakelite frame and handles. The asymmetric handles, with one slightly shorter than the other, form the closure: Just tuck the shorter handle under the taller one; no clasp needed. The bag is lined in black rayon faille and has a small zippered pocket. CONDITION: Very good+. One of the nails is missing on the inside frame, and there's a small chip there (see last photo). This doesn't affect the frame's integrity. No corner or edge wear. Two tiny indentations where this was probably lying against something else in storage. Pristine interior. I've cleaned and conditioned this, and it's ready to use on arrival. SIZE: Body is approx. 8 1/2" high x 9 1/2" wide x 2 3/4" across bottom; 11 3/4" high with frame.
